Positive Energy has consistently aspired to be the most technologically proficient solar PV integrator in the New Mexico industry. We have two engineers on our design staff. We regularly dedicate time to in-house specialized training, and have sent key employees out-of-state for specialized training unavailable locally (verification available on request). We also maintain on-the-job training, participate in continuing education technical programs from key manufacturers, and support license and certification tracks for employees with guaranteed pay increases for such professional accomplishment. Many of our staff have completed OSHA safety training for particular jobsites.

Positive Energy, Inc. has 11 employees who are graduates of the nationally-recognized Renewable Energy Program at San Juan College in Farmington, NM. This is one of the most respected one-year Certificate and two-year Degree programs in the U.S., currently with a multiyear waiting list for admission. Most of the graduates left successful careers in other parts of the country before committing to the renewable energy field by enrolling in SJC’s program and moving to Farmington. Recognizing the importance of skilled training early on, beginning in 2002 founder Allan Sindelar hired early graduates of the SJC Renewable Energy Program. He has often stated that he “hired the entire first three graduating classes, and all three people were great!” The SJC Renewable Energy Program graduated two men who became Allan’s business partners and principal owners in 2005, Business Manager Randy Sadewic and Field Manager Mark Drummond.

Positive Energy, Inc. currently employs 14 NABCEP Certified Solar PV Installers®, fully certified by the North American Board of Energy Practitioners (NABCEP™). Certified Solar PV Installers include: Allan Sindelar, Mark Drummond, Randy Sadewic, Pascal Duverge, Tom Engel, Gordon Woodcock, Andy O'Reilly, Mark Westbrock, Conor Black, Greg Seelhorst, Daniel Harber, Anthony Fields, Andrew Whitehead and Mark Dobroth. Information of NABCEP Certification is available (and Certificant names may be verified) at www.nabcep.org. Positive Energy employs the largest number of Certified Solar PV Installers of any company headquartered in New Mexico. Most New Mexico companies have none, and no other company has more than a few.

Industry Affiliations and Educational Positions:

Positive Energy has long been at the forefront of the development of the renewable energy industry in New Mexico.

This statewide professionals’ organization represents the renewable energy industry to the legislature, Public Regulatory Comission, and the general public. He has testified in committee of the New Mexico legislature on renewable energy legislation, and has provided tours of local PV installations to Senators Bingaman and Udall. Mr. Sindelar also serves on the Advisory Board of the New Mexico Solar Energy Association, the well-known statewide public education and advocacy organization. He has been a active participant in the online technical forum known as the Renewable Energy Wrenches list since its inception. He has been a member of the PV Technical Committee of NABCEP since its inception in 2002. He is also a member of the PV Industry Forum for the development and adoption of revisions to the National Electrical Code (NEC) articles pertinent to PV systems and standards.
