Ten Commandments of Off-Grid Solar Design

I. Thou shalt clearly define thy loads and shall bring no false
loads into thy system in the future.
II. Thou shalt know thy site, especially in winter, and avoid
obstructions to the heavenly rays of sustenance.
III. Thou shalt use sufficient array to charge thy batteries, for
batteries are thy storehouse, and thy gold shall otherwise be
quickly turned to lead.
IV. Thou shalt firmly ground thy system, for when the heavens
pour forth their bounty, lightning shall find thy system and
seek to destroy it.
V. Thou shalt honor thy system monitor, for lo! the lord sayeth it
be the soul of thy system.
VI. Thou shall maintain thy system with godly frequency, for the
ravages of time shall be insidious.
VII. Thou shalt be righteously prepared for the attack of the
heathen, the thief, the vandal, and those who covet thy goods.
VIII. Thou shalt consider the worst case scenario, for behold, it is
written that this shall occur.
IX. Thou shalt build to last, and by seeking value, thou shalt be
held in high esteem by thy peers.
X. Thou shalt honor thy vendor, for one day thy salvation shall
be in his hands.
