Since our founding in 1997, Positive Energy Solar has operated with a triple bottom line of People, Planet, and Profit ensuring our business benefits the communities we serve, the environment we depend on, and the employees who make it all possible. In 2013, we became a Certified B Corporation to hold ourselves accountable to these values. While New Mexico had not yet recognized Benefit Corporations at the time, the law was finally adopted in 2020. After thoughtful evaluation and stakeholder input, in 2024, we transitioned to third-party verification under Benefit Corporations for Good (BCFG)—a legal certification that aligns more closely with our mission. What This Means for our Customers: We are still the same employee-owned, values-driven, local business you know and trust. Our commitment to clean energy, sustainability, and community engagement remains stronger than ever. As New Mexico’s only Benefit Corporation in the solar industry, we’ve legally cemented our mission to create lasting, positive change.
