Community Highlight: A Stage Set for Sustainability: Solar-Powered Performances at Tumbleroot Brewery At Positive Energy Solar, we’re always looking for creative ways to bring solar power to the community. When Tumbleroot Brewery in Santa Fe wanted a sustainable solution to power their outdoor stage, we saw an opportunity to turn their live performances into a showcase for renewable energy. The challenge? The stage covering couldn’t support solar panels. But that didn’t stop us. Thinking outside the box (literally) we mounted a 425-watt solar panel onto Tumbleroot’s stationary food truck. The power is routed to a solar portable power station, secured inside a metal lockbox next to the stage. Now, musicians and performers can simply plug in and play with 100% solar energy—no noisy generators, no fossil fuels, just pure sunshine. This project is a testament to what’s possible when sustainability meets innovation. By finding a creative way to integrate solar into Tumbleroot’s venue, we’ve helped amplify local artists while reducing the venue’s carbon footprint. Live music, powered by the sun — what could be better?
