We're in your community.
We enjoy getting our feet on the ground with community partners and local nonprofits. From providing power for community events to identifying opportunities to donate from our community fund, or teaching youth in schools about the value of solar energy, you'll find Positive Energy Solar playing an active role in our community. Through the years, we've had the opportunity to support local schools, sports teams, and get hands-on with numerous nonprofit partners. Community outreach is just one of several ways that we make it a point to generate positive energy near and far.
Starting in 2023, with each system installed by Positive Energy, a donation is made to Storehouse New Mexico, a nonprofit community-based food pantry that provides free groceries to people in need.

Dedicated to New Mexico's Future.
We work with dozens of non-profit organizations that are driven toward creating a more equitable and sustainable future. Through community outreach, legislative action, and grassroots activation, we have helped to create an industry that boosts our local economy, protects our landscape, air, and water, and is part of social and environmental betterment for all New Mexicans. Together, we can foster social equity and environmental well-being.

Constructing a healthier future for all
We seek to identify ways to make solar more accessible to those who need it the most. Each year we find opportunities to donate to large-scale projects that provide solar energy to organizations and institutions that serve the greater needs of often marginalized community members. The solarization of Casa Milagro (our installers hard at work on this project pictured left) is an example of this. Casa Milagro is a Santa Fe homeless shelter serving community members who also suffer from mental illness. Our work on this installation came to fruition through community fundraising efforts led by Cornerstones Community Partnerships and New Energy Economy.
Such unifying of community partners demonstrates the community solidarity that we believe in at Positive Energy. We look forward to continuing to strengthen our community presence and bring the power of solar energy, and the power of collective action, together to make a positive impact in the lives of our friends and neighbors.

Alleviating Hunger with Storehouse NM
Did you know that 1 in 4 New Mexico children experience hunger? 1 in 8 New Mexicans experience hunger overall. Hunger is defined by the Food and Agriculture Organization as a “situation that exists when people lack secure access to sufficient amounts of safe and nutritious food for normal growth and development, and an active healthy life.” Food deserts and lack of access to nutritious food is an environmental injustice to the most vulnerable communities in our state.
In Fall of 2022, Positive Energy held a donation drive for Storehouse New Mexico so that we can help alleviate food insecurity and hunger in New Mexico. The money we raised provided over 5,500 meals for New Mexicans experiencing hunger. We look forward to nurturing our partnership with Storehouse NM so that we can continue to build community health and wellness by feeding families in need of these services.
